Yes. The Great House is a wonderful spot for a countryside escape, with the River Thames, beautiful walking routes and charming villages right on the doorstep.
Many guests visit for a relaxed weekend away from the city, combining riverside walks, long lunches and a comfortable overnight stay.
The Great House is a wonderful place to slow down and reconnect with the outdoors. Guests often start the day with a walk or run along the river path, followed by time relaxing in our lounge or garden.
During your stay you can also spend time on the river, whether that’s paddle boarding, boating or even a refreshing wild swim. We regularly hold events and experiences designed to help you make the most of your time here, check out our What's On page for more information.
Check-in is from 3pm, and check-out is at 11am. If you plan to arrive earlier or need a little longer before leaving, our team will always do their best to help where possible.
Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome in selected dog-friendly rooms. If you're planning to bring your dog along, just let us know when booking so we can make sure you're allocated the most suitable room.
Yes, parking is available for guests staying at The Great House.
If you’re planning to join us for dinner during your stay, we recommend booking a table in advance, especially at weekends or during busy periods.
